How to see the front panel when I run my VIs on a ream time machine with VI Server

Hi;

I am trying to launch a VI programatically on a real time PXI controller from a host machine. To this end, I am following steps outline in this website: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/A7DBA869C000B5AE862570B2007C4170

However, when I do that, I can't see the front panels of my VI's running on the real time machine. This is not really wanted, as I would like to monitor the outputs of my VIs as they are running on my real time machine. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who knows how to do this?

Best Regards,

Serdar

Hello Serdar,

How are you trying to vew the front panels of your VI's on the RT machine? The Real Time O/S does not provide or support any tpe of GUI as this is inherent in making the O/S determinstic. If you would like to monitor the values generated by the data taken on your real-time target, you will need to used shared variables that can take data from the RT controller and update the front panel of your application running on your host PC. Here are a few articles that should get you started.
