How to remove the noise of the measured current

Hi everyone,

i am measuring the current value on a motherboard with my Agilent 34410A.

As you can see in the image, it seems to be present a noise on the signal.

Any suggestion for remove this noise with a filter?

Why do you think it's noise?

Which current on which motherboard are you trying to measure?

Best regards,

GerdW and

I am measuring the current on a motherboard designed by a friend of mine.

I applied the ammeter between the transformer and the motherboard in order to know the current draw.

I made a small diagram:

This noise seems to be natural oscillations of the ammeter that I even see without any load applied.

How can I remove it?

Thanks

When the ammeter shows such "noise" then you should do a (re)calibration!

Any Variant in signal (Noise) in measurement, usually requires recalibration of an ammeter.

Should be the first step.

Good morning,
the recalibration of the ammeter is unfortunately blocked by a unique 12-digit code from the manufacturer. It should be attached to the purchase documentation but since more than a year has passed I can't find it. I will contact the manufacturer for information.
In the meantime, thank you all.
