How to measure strain using the NI 9237 with NI 9945 on cRIO

Hello,

I have to measure strain by using strain sensors from Vishay Micromeasurements. I have cRIO 9073 with NI 9237 . I also have NI 9945 for quarter bridge compensation. For the strain measurement on RT, i saw cRIO NI 9237 module specific example VI available with cRIO examples when NI is installed. I have LabVIEW 2009.

For strain measurement using cRIO, I will use this example program. I need help as to proceed with the VI. I do not see any excitation voltage specified in the VI. I have to provide only peform shunt calibration or not, Get unstrained measurements yes or no and Apply Shunt cal lead resistance correction factor. Please can I know how to proceed on using this VI .

Hi Hemagopal,

As long as you have RT support for DAQmx you could take the following example and adapt it for Real Time. This example uses a 9237 and 9945 for quarter bridge completion. If anything this will at least give you some insight into how to work the 9237 module. The example can be found here.
