How to make the three boolean buttons work?

That just make everything much more complicated! (more than three separate event cases, lots of duplicate code, more complicated code, harder to maintain, less scalable, etc.). I would strongly ignore that suggestion!
And what is "plaster"? Why is there a timeout case? Why is there no stop event?
