How to interrupt a data acquisition process via user interface

I would like to be able to interrupt a data acquisition process with a stop button on the front panel.  The data acquisiton process can take several minutes and I don't want to have to wait for it to finish before LV reads the stop button event.  Any advice and/or examples will be greatly appreciated!

DAQmx Stop Task will stop a task that is running.

Also, if you set your acquisition to continuous, and read less values per read iteration, you wont have to wait minutes for your stop button to be read.
