How to get programmatically whether system is PXI or PCI system?

Hi

How to get programmatically whether system is PXI or PCI system. Please don't tell to get the device list using DAQmx property node and check the hardware is PXI or PCI. Think such that the system doesn't have any hardware (including simulated devices) and nothing is configured in MAX.

Thanks & Regards

Sam

Hi Sam,

I think you mean you want to find out if the system is a PXI or a PC. I'm assuming this because you have catagoricaly said that you have no hardware connected (including simulated devices).

So now the question is to determine if the Windows OS is running on a PXI controller or on a PC (?? is that your question??)

Given this scenario, all the windows OS knows is that it is running on a x86 platform ( could be an intel, amd processor on an intel, amd, asus etc etc etc motherboard)

I'm not sure if there is a way to detect this without using the method that you have already mentioned ( DAQmx property node)
