They differ by their look - and by the way they should be wired...

You should read the LabVIEW help for that topic!

You need to tell your instructor and all your classmates that the forums aren't a place to ask basic questions in LabVIEW that should be asked of your instructor, or by taking some basic LabVIEW tutorials.

By the way your student "ID" number is a dead giveaway.  Is there a reason you and all your classmates are putting that in your messages?

Why are there so many terminals?? At this stage of your LabVIEW course there should only be very few. 😮

Is this a homework questions? This actually would be a good exercise to get familiar with LabVIEW basics. For example the teacher could show you an image of a block diagram and you have to circle all indicator terminals in one color and all control terminals in a different colors.

A control is a data source with a wire terminal on the right and an indicator is a data sink, with the wire terminal on the left. Of course if the programmer wired a mess, it might be hard to tell if the wires go in all directions, so look for the little triange.
