Yes, is an kind of out put port, but not for an microscope. For my PC. This SLM must work like an DOE(diffractive optical element), the only diference is that the SLM is an dinamic DOE. Changing the image that you send to SLM, you change the effect of DOE under laser beam, but this is other story. My problem can be reduced to: sending images to an second monitor and that's all. Can you help me? Doen't hesitate to ask me other questions. Thanks.

I cannot go further, but it is more complex
because you don t want to get frame aroud the picture you are sending,
you need to adress directly the second vga driver, etc.....

Hi,

If it is an extra monitor (can you see it in your computer setup as an monitor)
You can use the attachement to check the bounds of that moniter, by positioning your VIs in those bounds it will be shown on the SLM.

Hi,

first think: I could not open the attachement because your LabVIEW version is an new one. Then, the second monitor is positioned an left=1025 top=0.
The problem is when I write an image, I write this in LabVIEW windows. You told to put VI in second monitor. I don't know if it's ok., because in the second I want just that image and no other windows.
If you have a solution, it will be good. Thanks.

That's good news (the second monitor thing).

You can move front-panels of VI around with two VI.FrontPanelWindows properties:
  1. PanelBounds, which will set the bounds in such a way that the inside of the window is in th right position, writing this property allow you set it in front of the taskbar
  2. WindowBounds, which will set the bounds of a window (including scrollbars, menus and title bars)
So you need the Panelbounds property, remember that the front panel must be open before setting the bounds (use the OpenFrontPanel method with the state hidden, position the panel and then OpenFrontPanel with state default):

To move the image inside the Panel around look here

No!
The discussions are public so that everyone can learn from this!

If you have questions:

  1. Read the LabVIEW manuals
  2. Read a book on LabVIEW (I recommend 'LabVIEW for everyone')
  3. Search the web (Google is your friend
  4. Search NI.com
  5. Search forums.ni.com
  6. Ask here

We're here to help!

You can also try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here, here, here, here and here are a few you can start with and here are some tutorial videos. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).
