How to communicate with allen bradley slc 503 plc through data socket server

How do i communicate with an allen bradley slc 503 plc through data socket or can it be done. I want to use labview as a hmi screen. Any help or info would be great or even a sample vi. I'm using labview 6i.

I would not recommend datasocket for your HMI communication. It is not designed to work with a large number of items. I would look at the DSC engine and kepware opc server program. I have some DSC applications reading thousands of tags from the kepware progam. www.kepware.com
