How to access parallelport using LabVIEW

You need to use the 'inport' & 'outport' vi's from the Advanced, Port I/O palettte. Establish the port address through your system manager and viewing the resources (typically x378). You can then write a simple vi to read/write directly to the port.

Cat Monkey is correct but there is some other information you should be aware of. First if you want to use inport / outport and are using NT, you need a special version downloadable from NI's site. Second you can also use serial port for this. You need to specify the parallel port in your labview ini file under serial devices. See the following link for more info :
