Hi,

I want to search in the first column of a Excel file a name and when I found it I want to read the near cells (same row but different column).

I try with the Activex but I don't found the rigth solution.

Can I help me, please?

You can use "read from spread sheet"

Hey giada,

Before you can use the read from spreadsheet file VI the data of the Excel file must be copied to a .txt file then using the VI mentioned when set to string you can perform array searches to the data

I shall write you an example to show the search aspect of your problem

Here's the comma spaced .txt file search VI it may be possible to copy the Excel file to a comma spaced text file using active X before performing the search
