How do I write a VI that will randomly guess a user inputed number between 1 and 500?

I have a problem where I need to randomly guess a user inputed number, and then randomly guess that number. I want the program to run for half the time.

Anyone have any tips?

End of the semester? What do you mean randomly guess a user number? What do you mean run for half the time, half the time of what?

I mean I want it to run for only 250 times, and then give up its guessing.

What is the point of this exercise? I cannot think of a practical application for this. If this is truly homework (as suspected), then please be aware that we do not do your hoework for you here.

What have you tried so far? Please post what you've done so we can suggest what to change.
