How do I install 64-bit DAQmx 15.1.0f2 from downloded DAQmx

Solved!
Go to solution

I have LabVIEW 2015 x64 installed (from download, registered).  I want to install DAQmx for development support.

I downloaded the NIDAQ1510f2.exe and created a DVD from the files.  I re-ran LV x64 install with driver support selected (I have always had to do this to get to DAQmx x64 - there does not seem to be a direct way to select 64-bit DAQmx from the DAQmx installer).  When prompted, I inserted the DAQmx DVD, but the installer insists the correct files on not on this DVD.

I double-checked the download page and it clearly states the 64-bit DAQmx is included.

Please help.

Have you tried running the DAQmx setup directly instead of from the LV installer? I'm not sure why you'd need it launched from the LV installer.

Yes I tried. But as always it wants to install the x86 version when you run it directly and it gives you no option to choose otherwise.

It installed both x86 and x64 versions when I installed it. Does it not show up in your pallets or something?

Interesting... I didn't proceed past the point where is showed only the "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments" installation path.  In the past this indicated I wouldn't get 64-bit installations, but now I see that LabVIEW 64-bit support installations come up later in the process.  Thanks.
