How do I change the layer order of the indicators and controls on the front panel?

This would be similar to the "send to back", "bring forward", "send backward", and "bring to front" menu items in graphical drawing tools.

When I have overlapping indicators, I want to change the order in which they layer. I only want to do this when editing the faceplate... not programatically (since I can handle that using transparacy).

It would be very similar to those commands you listed as menu items in graphical drawing tools. LabVIEW (6-7, not sure about 5) has them! They are in the little toolbar menu next to the align and distribute menus.

ctrl-K = Bring to Front
ctrl-J = Send to Back
ctrl-shift-K = Move forward
ctrl-shift-J = Move back

Thanks!

I spent a couple hours looking for that, including searching the help and on-line discussion forum.

I suspected the answer was simple since no one really asked about it in the forum... however I couldn't find it in the help searching for "bring to front", "layering", "z-order", nor "send to back".

Thanks for spending the time to answer the question!

Jim
