How can I use more than 3 analog input modules in a on a cDAQ 9178

Hello:

I have a cDAQ-9178. We will be using 3-NI9239 cards, 2-9205 cards, an NI 9214 card and a NI 9472 card. I tried another experiment where I ran more than 3 analog input cards in the chassis and received the error "50103 the specified resource is reserved". I read that article  Causes of NI-DAQmx Error -50103 'The Specified Resource is Reserved' digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/485201B647950BF886257537006CEB89.

Under case 6, it states that the 9178 has 3 timing engines, therefore I am assuming that I cannot run more that 3 analog input cards on this chassis? Am I correct?

If so, is there a way to use a single task with more than 1 module?

I have it programmed very similar to CASE 2: except I am running 7 of these at once (but only one while loop. I can upload my programming if necessary.

YES!  in fact, you SHOULD use one AI Task with all used channels from each chassis.
