How can I receive email from a pop server using Labview 6.0.

I just installed Enterprize Toolkit and have been experimenting with email (smtp). I can send mail fine, but can not figure out how to connent to a mail server and receive email through LabView 6.0

The LabVIEW Internet Developers Toolkit has only SMTP (send) mail tools 😞 One option that I could think of is in Windows making calls to Outlook via ActiveX. In Unix there are myriad ways to write mail reciept and parsing scripts which could be called by LabVIEW.

There's a nice suite of VIs available on the NI Web site that provides pretty good POP functionality and adds a POP subpalette right into the Internet Toolkit palette.

Search for "pop mail vis" on the NI site.

John- Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the pop vis. Everything is working fine now, except I can not seem to delete the messages off the pop server. I am getting no errors and the return message from the pop server indicates that the messages have been deleted. When I go to retrieve mail they are still there and I download them over and over again. Any ideas?
