All I wish to do is trigger an audio file to play from within a VI, but here's the kicker...I want to do it on my mac. Any searching I've done has led me to projects on windows machines which use ActiveX controls to operate a player. I'd like to do something similar but on my mac. Any suggestions?
I've been able to play a song by reading it in as a waveform, but that seems to be processing intensive and I have no need to access the actual data... I'd like to access an application like VLC and simply spawn a new process that can run independently.
