How can I pause data acquisition of DIGITAL data?

using DIO-32HS
I am acquiring DIGITAL data that is unsynchronized. I find the headers and then I can determine the offset. I want to use this offset to pause the data acquisition for that amount of time so that it can synchronize.

If you are using labview use the "Digital Buffer Control.vi" for that. Set the control code to "pause".
You may have to use the "resume" afterwards.
