If I have an array of data, 0 0 0 0 0 83 20 12 3 0 0. How do make a graph of this data so there will be a vertical line at each of these points to indicate its size, instead of the standard curve it gives out. (desire is to look almost like a bar graph with bar width set extremely small)
In the waveform graph there is a tool called Common plots. You can obtain that by right clicking on the 'Plot' and then choosing the vertical line representation. Attached is a screen shot of it.

Click on the graph's plot legend. The first item is common plots and I believe what you describe is in there. If not, look further down the menu for the bar plot settings.
