Hi guys!!!! How do you solve this mathematical labview code? Suggestion? (block diagram attached)

See msg3 no Rube-Goldburg required.  Pretty simple: if you want to output a constant value, output the value of a constant.

Well IMHO this was either a poorly written question... Or a real dick move.

As there is a a valid application of trying to keep an output within a certain range given varying inputs.

Trying to trick the students with a BS question like that takes a real piece of work of an instructor.

The quality of the answer can typically not exceed the quality of the question (but of course we try very hard!!!).

Here, the question was so ambiguous that all hope for a solution is lost in the swamp

For example 0.47xx could be read as 0.47x^2 and 0.47xxxx as 0.47x^4

"42" has an above average change though!

The instructor is tricking students.

He said initially x = 0.095 and the final result should 0.4715......

So what is he saying now??? And what do the "......" stand for? What should the result be for other typical x values?

So he is saying xxxxx can be any number. As long as The first three digit is 0.47, I should be good.  smh

Ok, so the result does not depend on the control x at all? Why is it there?

I have a suggestion:

0_47.png

Works great on the front panel, just don't put it in your loop controller ; )

How did you manage to get a typo into the 1 thing you typed???

(I would have used copy paste 😁)

Otherwise, it's funny.
