Help in creating a very simple Vi!

I am new and I can't figure out how to make:
A simple Vi called "Acquire Data", THAT READS ONE DATA POINT ANDRETURNS IT AS A FLOATING POINT NUMBER!

I have done something, but I think it's wrong.(Attachment)


What do I need it for? For incorporating into "Writing and Reading Text Files" program.

Hi,
i think you want to format the data you save to a file.

just use the option "format-string" from the format into string.vi, this is the best way to change the format in the text file
