Have new LV2013. Use old "NIDAQ970f0" for new driver?

I recently downloaded a NIDAQmx driver for LV2009.  Afterwards I decided to upgrade to LV2013.  I need  to be able to use a DAQ Assistant with my USB DAQ 6009 and LV2013.  I still have the NI Icon NIDAQ970f0 on my desktop from before.   It has a self-extracting archive that will create a new directory on my hard drive and launch the installation of NI-DAQmx9.7.0..  If I click on the icon and do the installation this will work with LV2013, my USB DAQ 6009, and I'll be able to select the use of a DAQ Assistantwhen I need one,  right???

Thank you for your time

Hello dunnor,

Compatibility information for the DAQmx driver and all versions of LabVIEW going back to 7.0 can be found here:

KnowledgeBase 3PIA89N5: NI-DAQ and LabVIEW Version Compatibility (for Windows)

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B0D5630C0A50D5C6862578E800459248

Based on that table, it appears that you'll need to upgrade to NI-DAQmx 9.7.5 to have support for LabVIEW 2013.  If you install 9.7.5 with LabVIEW 2013 development support selected in the installation wizard, you should have access to the tools you described in LabVIEW 2013.

Best Regards,

Tom L.
