HL7

Anyone ever used LabVIEW to communicte via HL7?

I would have guessed that someone here must have done so.  But searching for HL7 turns up zero hits.  Oh, well.  Maybe I have to be the first one to invent that wheel?

Yes, thanks,  I did mean the "Health Level 7" protocol.

That link looks interesting, but it looks like the author only used LV to acquire the data and deposit it in a local database.  The HL7 communication looks like it was done using different software.

In any case,  since I can't find anything out-of-the-box, I think I am going to write my own HL7 driver.  I just managed to build a quick VI that can receive HL7 messages over a TCPIP socket.  Now I just need to parse the messages.
