Hüllkurvenanalyse envelope curve analysis

Hey,

Hi Gregory,

when you are posting in an English speaking forum you should try to write in English.

Or stick with the German LabVIEW Forum! (In case you are the same user as in the linked thread then you should have had 6 weeks to learn LabVIEW!)

You may search for "hilbert transform" here in the NI forum to find VIs like the one I attached. (Sorry, don't know it's origin anymore.)

nur frage ich mich jetzt warum ich noch eine Hüllkurvenanalyse mit einbauen soll

Why are you uncertain on implementing the "envelope analysis"? Either its part of your requirement sheet - or it isn't…

GerdW

Hi Gerd,

i just asked myself, cuz i didnt get/understand the real difference between the VI how it works now with the FFT and adding the envelope curve analysis. What is the added value then?

Hi Gregory,

could you attach your VI converted for LV2014?

What is the added value then?

You need to decide this on your own, based on your requirements!

When you can analyze the envelope line already then there is not much improvement from adding an alternative method…

hm, okay. so i think i have to test it with my experiment if i can see there a big difference.

another point to make the vi looking good:

as you can see there are 5 windows. how to get them one behind the other, like it is in the browser from firefox, google or the internet explorer?

Thank you 🙂

Hi Gregory,

as you can see there are 5 windows.

Well, there are 5 graphs in one window… 🙂

how to get them one behind the other, like it is in the browser from firefox, google or the internet explorer?

As is done in FF, Chrome or IE: they use tabs!

Use a tab control and put each graph in its own tab.

to make the vi looking good

Well, then you should clean up the BD too! 😄

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi Gerd

Use a tab control and put each graph in its own tab.

How to do this?

BD

What does it mean?

Hi gregory,

- controls are FP (=front panel) elements sorted into several palettes

- a "tab control" is found in the "containers" element palette. You can create as many tabs as you need in your tab control

- BD = block diagram

Ok, thanks Gerd!

I got it with the Tabs!

But still dont know how to make a envelope curve analysis 😞

Hi Gregory,

still dont know how to make a envelope curve analysis

Yesterday you said you have a working solution.

Now you don't have it? Even with my example VI?

When you want your own algorithm: Wikipedia explains it too…

Best regards,
GerdW
