Getting Error 1106 When Opening an XML FIle

I'm using Read From XML File.vi in conjunction with Unflatten From XML and am getting error 1106.  As near as I can tell the constant input to the Type terminal correctly reflects the type when the XML file was created.  The significant uncertainty is that the XML file was created using LV 2011 SP1 and the application that is attempting to read the file is LV v.8.5.1.  Could Error 1106 be due to reading the XML file using an older version LabVIEW?  If no, pleae elaborate the cause of the error.  If yes, how can I read an XML file using an older version LabVIEW?  In case is needful, the XML file was created using Win7 and the older LV application is running on a Win-XP machine.

Are you using Variants in your file content.The issue is documented here from 2009 version it may give you some idea.
