Getting 200474 error with ni-9219 with ni-9188 cDAQ chassis

Hello all.  I am getting a 200474 error using an NI-9219 module with the NI-9188 cDAQ chassis.  The 9219 is wired up for reading resistance (terminal 3 and 5). Let me explain my situation.

We are running a Life Test using two NI-9188 chassis and a total of 10 modules.  This is our setup:

NI-9188 #1

module 1: 9481

module 2: 9213

module 6: 9481

module 6: 9213

module 7: 9219

NI-9188 #2

module 1:  9481

module 2:  9213

***module 8:  9219**

The problem is the ***.  Originally, the 9219 was in slot 8.  When running my program,  I saw no resistance change in any channel.  I did a Test Panel in NI-MAX on the 9219 and got a 200474 timeout error.  I was very confused because the 9219 in the first 9188 works just fine.  After much deliberation, we switched the 9219 in the second NI-9188 from slot 8 to slot 5.  This worked.  We were able to see resistance changes now.

Any idea why the module would not work in slot 8?  We looked at the slot and do not see any obvious issue with the pins or anything.  Is there a hardware limitation with the modules and chassis we are using?  We are using one program to access both chassis.

Hi Dhouston,

That's an interesting issue.  I don't have a solution, but have a few suggestions for narrowing down the cause.  

1)  Perhaps you've already try this, but switch the modules between the two chassis to verify the problem isn't related to a specific chassis.

2)  Test the 9219 in slot 8, removing various other modules.

3)  Test the 9219 in multiple other slots.
