Get Front Panel Image

Solved!
Go to solution

Using LabVIEW 2010 I have been successfully using the Get Front Panel Image VI to save a .PNG file showing the Front Panel and its values when the user presses an OK button on the Front Panel.

I have now modified the main VI by adding a few more buttons and the result of getting the FP image now is that the values shown on the panel have not been updated. What I get is a picture of the VI as created in the editor.

The modifications involved editing the tabbing order of the front panel controls.

The Help file says that the FP controls will not be updated in the image if the FP is not visible. The FP IS visible, else the user could not click the OK button to call the Get Image VI.

I have searched the VI Properties but cannot find anyway of resolving this.

Can anyone help, please?

Hi Humph,

Can you post a VI so that we can see what you did ?

Thanks.

Sorry for long delay in replying, have been on holiday.

Having been asked to post VI, have done some tidying up to make the VI more understandable, and the problem has gone away !!!!!

Honest, all I did was move some of the front panel items. No extra wiring.

Some of the items were hidden so I made them visible (the run-time code makes some visible and some invisible).

So I think we can put this down to an intermittent glitch.

Thanks for replying.
