Make a brute force loop that tries any and all combinations and tries to open it until it succeeds ...

Actually there was a thread a while back where hacking the password was figured out using some web-site that does something hash related. A quick seacrh did not find it but it is there somewhere.
I think Darin cracked a VI posted by Ravens fan where the password had something to do with super bowl...
That is all I can offer.

This is the thread Ben is refering to:
http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/VI-s-password/m-p/310730/highlight/true#M161139
Can you post the VI that you need unlocked?

Brute force may work for old VIs, but recent versions of LabVIEW only allows you to try every 100ms. So it might be long if the password has more than a few caracters...

Yes. Unfortunately, while the VI was cracked, the part about the Super Bowl didn't come true. Close, but not quite.

this vi will let you overwrite the password of any vi or library file.
