I found a possible resolution to this.  By deleting the preferences file for LabVIEW, then restarting LabVIEW, this error should go away.  LabVIEW will create a new preferences file.  Be careful, though, as deleting this file will remove any customization you have done.

To delete the preference file ( com.ni.labview.plist ) was mentioned in another post about the same topic. Well, it did not work, (I already restarted labview and the computer) the file was not been recreated on startup either...

(I'm using Labview 8.0 for Mac OS, on a intel driven MacBook)

I thought I should mention a couple of things regarding your last post.

  • I'm quite sure that the file you referenced is not the LabVIEW preferences file.  The file should be located in your user directory under Library:Preferences.  I'm pretty sure it's just called "LabVIEW 8.0 Preferences".
  • LabVIEW 8.0 was not tested for use on an Intel-based Mac.  I can't say if this would be related to the problem or not.

Good luck!

The problem is solved!

(I rescued the deleted file from the trashbin)

and deleted the "LabVIEW.app 8.0 Preferences" file,

for now Labview is running again!

Thanks!
Lest's go back doing science!
