Dear All,

I m Facing some problem in my FPGA 7833R series card (with PXI 8108 RT controller,PXI 6229,PXI 6514 in PXI 1042 chassis), in this FPGA AO Channels are getting damaged frequently,Here I m using FPGA for controlling 2 Festo valves using PID and one DO from 6514 card is physically connected to DI of FPGA for starting/triggering PID control.I m using parallel loops in FPGA for controlling 2 festo valves.Loop1 with AO0 will controll Festo valve 1 and loop 2 with AO2 will control festo valve 2 and at a time both the channels are damaging, what could be the reason for damage.Kindly help me to findout the problem.

With regards,

Vipin

Most likely cause is back emf from the coil of the valve.
