Eye-hand coordination for robots

Hi,
I am new to LabVIEW, so I wondered if someone could help me getting started with vision. I have tried making some vision programs, but the main task
is making Robot arms move with guidance from a camera "in the hand". It should position itself in the center of a spool, so it should look for the spool first, then position itself in the center. I tried using some circularity factors for programming it, but I was wondering if there were some kind of eliptical factors maybe I could use?

Hi Vegard123,

It might be useful to have an example of the code you've worked on so far to get a better idea of how you're going about your application. Also if you are new to LabVIEW it might be worth looking at through some available documentation and examples:

Vision Development Module Examples: http://www.ni.com/example/6712/en/
Geometric Pattern Example: http://www.ni.com/example/30555/en/

Let us know how you get on!
