Eurotherm 3216 slow DAQ rate

Dear all,

I am happy to be a new member of the NI community.

I am struggling with data acquisition of 3216 Eurotherm temperature controller.

I have 4 3216´s connected to my PC with a RS485 converter.

When I use iTools OPC server I can log e.g. the temperature with a sample rate of 1s into a txt file, that is fine.

But if I do that with the provided LabVIEW VIs from Eurotherm_32xx_series, I reach at most 2s sample rate.

I use "Read Process Variables.vi" for unit address 1 to 4 and pass the 4 element array with a timestamp in a queue to a consumer loop.

You should attach actual VI's so we can see how it is programmed.  I don't know how you can expect us to help troubleshoot something we can't see.

You are right. Please find attached the code section with Eurotherm code and open Eurotherm_3216.vi as main.vi.

The 3216 controllers are one of many devices that are controlled in a NI QMH structure, each device in its own message handling loop.
