Ethercat slave rename programmatically

Hi

I have a question concerning Ethercat. If i want to renname an Ethercat Master or slave, i can do it through Labview Project. After that i have to redeploy the Ethercat Master from the same project. I wonder if its possible to do this (rename and redeploy) programmatically.

This can be usefull, when i add a new slave on the network, i want to be able to renamme it and to deploy the correposnding user defined variable without any project.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the functionality we’re looking for doesn’t currently exist within the EtherCAT API.

One possible workaround is to create a lookup table type system with the preferred names for your Ethercat Master or slave.
