The matlab code I am using is copied from an ISO standard an runs fine in Matlab. Any other suggestions. Has anyone else had trouble with Labview's Matlab Script Icon?

I meant, it might be helpful if you pasted your Matlab code. If you have
existing Matlab code working, find out where it breaks.

Are you sure you're using the MATLAB Script Node?  I've only seen the "code could not be generated correctly for this VI" error message when using the MathScript node.  I believe the MATLAB Script Node has a gray border, while the MathScript node has a blue border.

P.S. - Posting a sample VI demonstrating the problem would, of course, help answer most of the questions people are asking you.
