End of File Error (Read/Write data is not involved)

I'm experiencing the "end of file" error in a state machine VI.  This VI has no reading or writing data to files as seen in all the other "EOF" error posts.

This VI was the last thing I was working on when I left work for the weekend.  My computer was still in the process of shutting down when I came back on Monday (asking if I wanted to save something)  I canceled the shut down process, and tried to open my LabVIEW project. The project was completely closed.  Upon loading it said that it failed to find the VI that I am having issues with.  I went to try and open the VI independently  and it returned the "End of File" error.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi CDuck,

Any help or ideas would be appreciated

- get the backup of that VI from your server or backup drive

- checkout an older version of this VI from your SCC tool

When LabVIEW claims a EOF error while loading your VI it most often is corrupted.

You surely do backups often and regularly, don't you?

Best regards,
GerdW

HEH Smiley Tongue  Not often enough it seems...

I didn't use a SCC Tool either, but thanks for mentioning it because I had never heard of this before.

I guess I'll re-write it after all.  Kudos for the quick reply though.
