ETSAPI.DLL wissing error

Hello,

I am trying to recreate an executable on another machine. I copied all necessary files over. When I try to run the executable I get a system error that says ETSAPI.DLL missing.

Any thoughts on why?

Both computers are the same model with the same software installed. Windows 7 pro 64-bit

Thanks!

You obviously did not copy all of the necessary files. Copying its a bad idea. You should create an installer.

JoshS06,

You might want to also look at this forum thread: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/ETSAPI-DLL/td-p/1985979 there are a couple different things people tried to get rid of the error.

Overall, I would agree with Dennis and say that the installer is right route to go.

I had the same problem. After lots of chasing I found that I had copies of two of the national instruments .dll files in the same directory as the executable.  They must have been an old version or something, when I deleted thouse two files and let the program find the .dll's in the proper location the error went away.
