Dependency conflict in LV 2009

Hello!

I migrate from LV8.6 to LV2009. I open existing project, developed with LV8.6. When i open one VI inside of the project the dependency conflict is reported. This message was not detected in LV8.6. The program is running normal, but i don't have explanation why is dependency reported in LV2009 and not in LV8.6.

Can you help me?

Hello,

I suppose you had Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit under LV 8.6, then migrated to 2009 and installed again the toolkit.

The project, being saved in 8.6, had some dependencies, with their path saved under LV 8.6 structure.

Now, when LV is searching for the new path of those files, under LV 2009 directory structure, he finds 2 files with the same name.

They actually consist of the same information. You should just chose one of them , save the project and there should be no problem further.

As far as I understood, there is no impact over the application's functionality.

Dependency is reported by file StopSync.txt. This is empty text file inside of

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\vi.lib\addons\_Advanced Signal Processing\NI_AdvSigProcWA.lvlib

and

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\vi.lib\addons\_Advanced Signal Processing\NI_AdvSigProcTSA.lvlib

I have save project under different name, execute mass compile but no success. Any additionally idea?

Hello,

StopSync.txt conflict message seems to be an issolated, yet known issue which is going to be fixed in LabVIEW 2009 SP1.

The problem is that : text files (documents) don't have linkrefs and thus, can not be looked up.

Try to move one of the two text files from one of the location, so that there would be only one of the two conflicting items.

Hello,

   I'm facing problem like PROJECT DEPENDENCY CONFLICTS DETECTED.

 I've copied drivers of hp 54520a fron LabView 8.6 's instr lib to Labview 2009 instr lib.

 When I open the Calling vi.the confict detected window opens.And it shows the conflictins items which are all .mnu files.

 these files are in hp54529a\public folder also and also in _template_generic folder.

 I can't  delete driver file as I've modified them according to my application.

and deleting files in generic folder also gives error.

I have installed LV2009 on brand new machine, but the problem is still presented. Also i installed LV 2009 SP2, but nothing is changed. I hope NI will issued some solution for this case

Hello Toni,

LabVIEW 2009 SP1 was not released, what you have installed are patches, and it's true, we have released two of them so far.

As I have said, the issue is known, i have written in a previous post the reason why it returns errors.

This issue is supposed to be fixed in SP1, unfortunately I do not know the release date of SP1, probably begining 2010.
