Janosch,
if you use LabVIEW DSC's Datasocket Server (VI-based proxy server) and the tags you generated are Input/Output tags, the Datasocket items need to be confiugred as multiple writers... (the engine tag is a writer, if the tag is an output tag and the DS Writer VI is the second writer) You can do that only in the Datasocket Server Manager by defining the DS items in the manager and selecting the "Allow Multiple Writers".
That might be one source of your problem (and you should see an error in the DSC Engine System events - I think).
You might as well get the latest Datasocket VI-based Server from this link: LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisor
y Control Module Version 6.1 for Windows 2000/95/98/ME/NT/XP -- Fixes .
And last, Tag Monitor reads just from the DSC Engine the tag (Logos real-time point) and not directly from the Datasocket server.
Hope one of those things explains what you see, let us know.
