Darren's Weekly Nugget 06/01/2009

In the past, I have always recommended that users submit their ideas for LabVIEW features to the Product Suggestion Center.  This database was the primary means of submitting feedback to NI on new or changed features...until today!  The LabVIEW Idea Exchange is now live, which is an interactive forum for submitting LabVIEW feature requests.  Unlike the Product Suggestion Center, which is a one-way manner of communicating ideas to NI, the Idea Exchange allows all LabVIEW users to not only submit ideas, but also give kudos to ideas they think NI should implement.  The more support we see for an idea on the exchange, the more weight it will have when we're planning the development of features for future LabVIEW versions.

If you've got some ideas to submit, I recommend the following guidelines:

  1. Search to see if your idea has already been submitted.  If it has, give it kudos to show your support.
  2. Give your idea a descriptive (but concise) title and description.
  3. Include a screenshot to help us understand what you're suggesting.
Now go forth and suggest!
