Converting LV 5.x VI to one that can be read by 8.5

I have a file that I downloaded as a new Labview user.   real-time_chart.zip

I see many postings that people have requested a conversion from 5 to 8.5 which is what I need but, can I do this myself and not bother others?

Only if you have an intermediate version of LabVIEW to upgrade the 5.x code.

You need to attach the file or point to where it is.

If you downloaded that file from here then you wasted your time. That file is the same as what is in the shipping examples of 8.5. Just open the example finder, go to the search tab, and search for charts or on the Browse tab, open Fundamentals>Graphs and charts.
