In my instrument base class I have a "Set pressure" method which I overwrite in the child class with dynamic dispatch. Labview throws me the error message I attached suggesting that the connector pane terminals are different. I must be blind or there is something I dont know but these look identical to me. The base class method is runnable the child classes are not.
The Set pressure method in the base class is set to "Descendants must override", but even if I uncheck this the child class overrides remain broken.
The representation of the "Pressure" is DBL for all.
Any ideas what could cause this?
Thanks!

Probably some connectors are different required/recommended/optional status, we can't tell from the screenshot and it has to match.
Another possibility is inheritance related: the parent of the broken children could be a different class, and that same error message occurs if you inherit from an interface with a DD method of the same name but different connector pane as another parent. If you shared code I would check the inheritance of both broken classes.

Yeap... on the base class the numeric input was optional. Thanks a lot for the quick hint.
