Channel Names in MAX w NI-FGEN 5401

I've created a ch name in MAX ( ie SqWve) and "associated" it with the NI-FGEN 5401. How come when I'm in LV7.1 it doesn't show up in a selectable drop down for the NI-FGEN 5401 code ? I've loading and using the 5401 drivers.

Clint,

After reading over your post, I am not sure that there are enough details to answer your question. If you could post some addtional details in a reply, that might help. Here are some things that you might want to include:

First off, in your post, you mention a "ch name." Is this an IVI channel name, an NI-DAQ virtual channel name, or something else?

Second, you mention that you are using LV 7.1, and a program with a drop down menu, but you don't specify the program by name. What program are you using that is presenting these problems? Is it a LabVIEW shipping example, did you download it, or did you write it? Finally, if it is not a LabVIEW shipping example, can you post the VI, or find an installed example that is similar to the one you are lo
oking at as a reference?

With the above information, I believe that this forum will be able to better understand your question.

In general, if you are having trouble using a front panel control, you can turn on Context Help (press Ctrl+H) and it should give you some additional information about the control and its use.

I hope that information helps. If it doesn't please post back some additional information so that this forum can more easily assist you.
