Change the Legend topmost index on an XYGraph

On an XYGraph you can display an index and/or a vertical scrollbar on the legend.  However, I don't see how you can identify or change the index.  I am displaying a table of information next to the legend, and I would like to be able to scroll both at the same time.  Since the graph could be displaying a bunch of plots (far more than is reasonable to display), I'd like to give the operator the ability to scroll through the plots and the corresponding data.  I've attached an image to show what I am talking about.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

   I have played around with the XY Graph and am unable to get access over that scroll bar in terms of changing it. I found that changing the Index Display effectively scrolled the legend but was unable to get a reference to it either. This kind of functionality seems to be a great product suggestion if you would like to put it on the Idea Exchange for future versions of LabVIEW.
