The more I think about this problem, the more I have to disagree with my original sentiment and admit there's something to this.

However, I still think multiple case selectors is the wrong way.  How about being able to attach clusters (limited to only one "level" and perhaps a max of 3 or 4 elements) to the selector and then being presented with more than one value on the top of the case structure.

This way the order is defined, the data types are defined and so on.

This way you can work with combinations of multiple data types and all LV has to do in the background is to un-tangle the (essentially) nested loops.

I'm convinced.

Could be a way to go, but still limited. Does it make sense to limit such things? Ok - you may argue that you should not have more than 4 selector values. But there's always an exception to the rule ;).

Gopfriedstutz? Does the "function" of this word not disallow its usage in the forums due to the terms of use ? 😉 Lucky you that there are not that many people in this forum who know schwitzerdütsch 😄

I don't know the exact meaning of "Gopf....".  All I know is it's similar to " ", well certain words in English.  But I also thought it was a chacter in the BLICK newspaper, so I thought I could get away with it 😉

After all, I'm only an innocent foreigner....  I didn't know....

I agree that limiting to 4 might not be so good, but I was thinking of the real-estate it would take if they were listed horizontally, but if they were listed VERTICALLY, then there's room for loads of them......

BUT.  Is it good programming?

Shane.

Well - we both know the discussions about "good programming" so I don't start another one here ;).

Although being an innocent foreigner, you seem to know the "important" things about Switzerland. Anyway - I'm not Swiss either.

Agreed, "Good" programming is the programming we're paid for, everything else is secondary.

Kind of thought you weren't CH, but I reckoned the hysteria gets as far as FL (If I recall a previous post...).  I'd love to know how many "hopp Schwiiz"ers are actually not swiss.  There are a whole lot of cars driving around with the swiss flag flying alongside another (Italian, Croatian and so on).  I think not only is the land multi-culti, the individuals are too.....

Shane.
