Canon EOS on LabVIEW

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a barcode identification project using a Canon Rebel T7i camera. I do currently have all the necessary driver, provided by Ackermann Automation, to initiate the camera and take pictures but I'm more interested in getting the live feed from the camera (not the view finder).

After some digging, I found that Canon released the Canon EOS Webcam Utility which allows me to use the camera as a webcam on my computer. After installing it, I confirmed that it was working by checking with the camera app on windows.

Now comes my problem. I tried to use the Canon on Labview with this VI : https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/2-hours-finished-the-webcam-program/m-p/782481?profile.language=en#... and it works for my laptop integrated cam but not for the Canon. I get the error -2147220969, which is an unassigned error code. I think there's an issue when initiating the camera parameters. I tried updating the Vision Acquisition Software, but I still get the same error.

Here's a list of links I visited:

According to this post, it should work on Labview : https://www.reddit.com/r/LabVIEW/comments/gmvku3/heads_up_the_new_canon_eos_webcam_utility_works/

Can someone help me find a way to make the EOS Webcam Utility work on Labview?

Thanks
