Installing NI-GPIB would have been a big mistake. Not installing NI-VISA and not enabling tulip support would have been two others. Not following the instructions from agilent/keysight would be the final mistake.

Hi April,

 

you installed a driver for your hardware. But that driver isn't supported (by default) by LabVIEW/NI…

 

See this AppNote by Agilent. It says it all. As I said before: read the f*** manual…

 

Even when you aren't a computer scientist: you should be able to read the manuals and to cite the words used in there!

I just found that Agilent document.  It wasn't provided with the controller.  Think I've solved it.
