Can we edit *.ctl file?

Is there any way to edit the control file *.ctl ?  I have a control file and need to add some extra code to it but was unable to find the code (block diagram) of the *.ctl file. Can any one help me how to locate the block diagram of *.ctl file and make changes to it for furthur use.

a control (ctl) has no blockdiagram. You can only add front panel elements.

ctl's are dumb and have no visible code. What kind of changes do you have in mind?

Maybe an XControl can do what you want?
