Can't install german ver. of LabVIEW 6i

At the very beginning (after clicking "start installation") of the
installation of the german academic version of LabVIEW 6i on
Win2000(german), "Windows Installer" gives an error message like:
"Fehler bei der Anwendung von Transformen. Sind Sie sicher, dass die
angegebenen Transformpfade richtig sind?". My (bad) translation of
this message is: "Error by using (Transformen). Are you sure that the
defined (Transformen)-paths are allright?". The installation of the
english or an older german version (5.0) is no problem. Does anyone
know the problem? What can I do?
I would be very lucky to be able to use LabVIEW 6i in german!

Hi

You have to change the regional settings to german(standard). E.g for Windows NT: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Regional settings>select now "german(standard) as regional setting. If that doesn't work you have to delete a registry key. Look at: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/9f563a9a1b40dfcb86256a1700547acb?OpenDocument.
The KB explains problem when uninstalling LV, but it helps too for installing when you had an other LV Version.

Luca

Hi Simon,
why don't you just call the support in munich? They usually find out very
fast wh
ats wrong, by no cost.

The other thing is, for installing the regionized version of LabVIEW,
Nidaq has to be installed in the same language. Mustang ( at another
place in this tread) posted how to check this. So if you have a previous
NiDAQ istalled in another language, this might be the problem.

Good luck,
Rainer
