You made me laugh when I read that sentence bud! Ha ha! Yeah, in a way it would be easier wouldn't it? Both Ravens Fan and I have suggested probing the wires upstream to find out where the empty string is coming from. Have you done that yet?
Then you need to probe further upstream than that to see why they are empty.
Looking at your Jpeg screenshot again, one of the things I noticed is that upstream of your pair of Either Time End subVI's is that the one on the top is a 23 x 5 2-D array (okay), but the one on the lower half is a 0 x 18 2-D array which means it is empty. Then it gets indexed which gives you another empty array. So the problem begins even further upstream then the screen shot image you showed.
