Can anything stop my vi?

I do not recall. I have not actually used it. I think I saw a reference to it somewhere and thought it might be useful, so I downloaded it.

I noticed after I posted yesterday that X11 must be running to get the VI to launch the other application. Otherwise X11 gets launched but DS9 does not.

DS9 is an application developed to view and manipulate fits image files. While there are no restrictions to my knowledge it is only used by astronomers. Here's a fits file from my own work.

I changed the name. Change the extension back to .fits. The image is of a dusk disk around AB auriga
